Apply Now for the 2013 Goodwill Ambassador Program

Calling all young adults with a passion for the Festival, international and community relations! Apply now for the National Cherry Blossom Festival Goodwill Ambassador Program.

Applications are due on October 5, 2012. Goodwill Ambassadors act as official representatives and cultural liaisons at Festival at events, and they are indispensable resources for attendees. In past years, Goodwill Ambassadors have had the opportunity to meet the Ambassador of Japan and leaders in the DC community. They also work on Festival youth education and community programs. There is limited space in the 2013 program. If you are a recent graduate or college student in the Washington, DC area and this sounds like you, apply today.

Prospective applicants who would like more information are invited to attend Origami Hour on Thursday, September 13, 2012 hosted by the Festival’s Goodwill Ambassador Alumni Network. Please RSVP here, and connect on Facebook, too. At the event, help fold paper cranes, network with former Goodwill Ambassadors, and receive application tips from 6:30 – 8:30pm at The Loft at Busboys & Poets (5th and K Street location). All cranes made at the event will be sent to the Hiroshima Children’s Memorial in Japan.
