This two day annual family festival for kids of all ages features hands-on activities, interactive art demonstrations, and exciting indoor performances that celebrate spring and explore Japanese arts and design.

Also on display will be the 2014 National Cherry Blossom Festival Youth Art Contest Winners, presented in part with DC Arts & Humanities Education Collaborative. Official Festival merchandise will be available for purchase, and attendees can register to win a LEGO Architecture White House Kit at the National Building Museum Membership & Family Programs Information table.

Meet Cookie Monster at the National Children’s Museum activity area, and the roving Cherry Blossom Bubble Champs and Washington Nationals Racing Presidents, as they make special appearances throughout both days!

This year’s activities include:
- Make a “Cha-shitsu” Tea House presented by the National Building Museum-
- Design a Japanese Garden presented by National Building Museum
- Make It Bloom Craft sponsored by Safeway
- Craft Twist Friendship Bracelets with the Festival’s Goodwill Ambassadors sponsored by Entertainment Cruises
- Structure Upcycled Cherry Blossom Pendants presented by The Textile Museum
- Experience Japan! presented by the Japan Information and Culture Center, Embassy of Japan
