The visual arts play an active role in the National Cherry Blossom Festival, from the traditional and applied with the development of the annual Official Artwork, to the contemporary with the Photo Contest presented with FotoDC.
Official Artwork
Traditionally, each summer, the National Cherry Blossom Festival solicits portfolios from interested artists, one which the Festival selects and works with to create the official artwork to be used on official collateral materials and merchandise items such as the official poster, t-shirt and more. Traditional and graphic artists interested in being considered as the developer of the official artwork in 2014, please contact Lillian Iversen.
National Cherry Blossom Festival Photo Contest presented with FotoDC
For the third year, the Festival will work with FotoDC to present an annual photo contest. Winners in each category will receive prizes and exposure opportunities. More information will be coming soon; click the button below to see information about the contest in 2012.
