For a taste of local DC, come celebrate the Anacostia River at the annual Anacostia River Festival presented by the 11th Street Bridge Park and National Park Service. Take a canoe out to explore the River, ride in our bike parade, play lawn games with your family and experience Southeast DC’s local arts scene at this special FREE event. This year we are throwing a birthday bash for the 100th Anniversary of Anacostia Park and celebrating the “Year of the Anacostia”. Fun activities for families and friends of all ages. DIRECTIONS

Metro Anacostia Station (green line). Exit toward the parking garage to walk to the Festival site (approx. 7 min.).

A free shuttle provided by DC Circulator is available from both Anacostia Metro (at the Howard Rd exit) and Eastern Market Metro (Orange/Blue/Silver lines) to the Festival site.

Free bike valet available!

Parking

Free Parking is available at Anacostia Metro Station (1101 Howard Road SE Washington, DC 20020). Please consider the short walk to the Festival site (approx. 7 min) OR a free shuttle is available from the Anacostia Metro Station near the Howard Road exit.
