This exhibit takes visitors through a history of ever evolving paintings, from Muromachi period (1338-1573) to present time, whose common threads are in the use of traditional and unique materials and techniques. Visitors can explore these common threads with an informative lecture, open studio and workshops at JICC and Freer|Sackler.
