The National Cherry Blossom Festival will continue to celebrate spring with the “Petal” to the Parks Bike Ride on Sunday, May 15th. Riders will gather at BicycleSPACE in Adams Morgan at 11:00 AM and set off to explore landmark greenspaces around our nation’s capital including Rock Creek Park, the National Mall and Anacostia Park over the course of this 13-mile bike ride. The U.S. National Arboretum will serve as a final stop of the bike ride, where riders will be able to enjoy the World Bonsai Day Festival and the ‘Grass Roots’ turfgrass exhibit and embark on a scavenger hunt to find Petal, the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s very own garden gnome. Petal has popped up in local parks to usher in spring as a celebration of this year’s theme, “Connecting People to Parks.”

The National Cherry Blossom Festival “Petal” to the Parks Bike Ride is made possible through partnerships with BicycleSPACE, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. National Arboretum and National Turf Federation.
