SHIFT Festival: Boulder Philharmonic “pop-ups”

10 AM – 12 PM

Four locations spread around the Tidal Basin. In inclement weather, only the Cherry Blossom stage near the Welcome Area will be used. (Map)

No tickets necessary, more information at www.shiftfestival.org

Blending nature & music, visitors will happen upon small chamber groups from the Boulder Philharmonic (under the auspices of the SHIFT orchestral festival) performing in locations all around the Tidal Basin loop between 10 AM – 12 PM on March 29, 2017. There is no “correct” place to start or direction to go – people are encouraged to walk at their own pace around the Tidal Basin, the music at each location is meant to be seamless with the natural environment.

Getting There:

Please note parking around the Tidal Basin is extremely limited.

Metro: Smithsonian (Blue/Orange/Silver)

Circulator: The DC Circulator’s National Mall route (http://nationalmall.dccirculator.com) has stops all around the Basin. Rides cost just $1 and buses arrive every 10 minutes.
