Due to the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms being delayed, the Tidal Basin Welcome Area dates have been adjusted to ensure programming and visitor services will be available when the cherry trees blossom (currently forecast to reach peak between April 8-12). Originally scheduled to close after Sunday, April 1, the welcome area will now temporarily suspend weekday operations after Tuesday, March 27 and then resume daily operations from Saturday April 7 through Sunday, April 15. The complete revised schedule is as follows:
• Wednesday, March 28 through Friday, March 30 – CLOSED
• Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 – OPEN from 10 AM – 6 PM
• Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6 – CLOSED
• Saturday, April 7 through Sunday, April 15 – OPEN from 10 AM – 6 PM
